England and Scotland both triumphed as the 2025 Guinness Women's Six Nations reached it's final weekend.

The Red Roses wrapped up a seventh successive Grand Slam, defeating France 43 - 42 in an absolute thriller at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham.

Meg Jones started the match and was influential throughout, throwing a magical 20 metre pass wide for Claudia McDonald to stretch the hosts lead.

Amy Cokayne came off the bench to add physicality with half an hour remaining as the reigning champions survived a last minute converted try to hold on.

In the day's earlier match, Francesca McGhie scored the winner with the clock in the red as Scotland beat Ireland 26 - 19 in Edinburgh.

The wing sped into the corner to clinch victory for the delighted hosts in another absorbing contest, the side having opted to kick to the corner from a late penalty rather than go for the posts. 

Leah Bartlett started the match at prop while Evie Wills was amongst the replacements as the Scots earned a jubilant home win.
