Leicester Tigers will face Exeter Chiefs at Welford Road in the semi-finals of the LV= Cup on the weekend of March 13-15.Tigers came through the pool stages of the Anglo-Welsh tournament as top seeds with four wins and 18 points from four games. Leicester were also the top try scorers in the pool stages with 14 and conceded just three, the best defensive record in the competition. A total of just 46 points against was also the best in the tournament.
Wins over London Irish away, then Sale Sharks and Northampton Saints at home, followed by a six-try victory at Cardiff Blues on Saturday, secured Tigers’ place in the knockout stages for the first time since lifting the trophy in 2011/12.
Saracens secured home advantage in the semi-finals as second seeds after a bonus-point win over Exeter Chiefs and they will now host Northampton Saints in the other semi-final.
