Jared, who earned the nickname Mophead after growing his hair for five years, had his locks chopped in front of more than 100 young players on the Tigers course at Swaffham RUFC.
His father Ian, who is chairman of the youth section at Swaffham RUFC, said Jared, of Dereham in Norfolk, was unrecognisable without his 60m-long hair.
“He looks completely different,” said Ian. “It’s been about five years since he had it cut last and he is a lot different now. He has been blown away by the support he’s had.
“He had it done in front of the players on the course – it was possibly the biggest course we have ever run with 107 players on it – and it went really well.”
Tigers and England Saxons lock Richard Blaze dropped in on the course for a question and answer session and posed for photos with Jared before his haircut.

Swaffham RUFC was one of a number of Tigers Rugby Courses being run by the Premiership champions this summer.
Supported by energy efficiency specialists Mark Group, Tigers were also at Oakham School last week, where Matt Smith and Ben Pienaar dropped in to pass on tips to the young players.
This week, Tigers are hosting courses at Stamford School, Derby RFC and a residential course at Bishop Burton College.
