Johne in Ireland A line-up at Tigers

Figure image
Leicester Tigers winger Johne Murphy will run out on home soil – but from the away dressing room - when international rugby returns to Welford Road on Friday, February 1 after being named in the Ireland A team to face England Saxons.

The 23-year-old has scored five tries so far this season and missed out on involvement in the Tigers matchday 22 just once.

Murphy, who gained his first Ireland A caps last season, will be joined in the team by former Tigers colleague Shane Jennings, who makes a second return to Welford Road after playing for Leinster in the Heineken Cup defeat just last weekend.

British & Irish Lions winger Shane Horgan, Munster hooker Frankie Sheahan and Ulster scrum-half Isaac Boss are among the senior internationals named in the starting XV.

The England Saxons squad includes Tigers players Jordan Crane and Tom Varndell.

Tickets are on sale now from the Tigers ticket office on 08701 28 34 30 or online at http://www.leicestertigers.com/
