Join in the festivities at Welford Road

There was plenty for fans to get up to at Welford Road when Tigers took on Racing in their Round 4 Heineken Champions Cup matchday.

With activities before and after the game, fans got into the festive spirit with food and games around the home of Leicester Tigers.

Young children enjoyed our Rodeo Reindeer Ride, Children’s Christmas Carousel and Mini Ferris Wheel situated on the plaza outside the Holland & Barrett Stand, as well as the chance to meet Santa himself in his grotto in the Junior Tigers Club VIP area.

There were festive refreshments for fans with mulled cider, mince pies and turkey baps on offer, and resident band Rock Bottom and our Christmas DJ got crowds in the Christmas mood.

Half-time saw three teams take to the pitch for this weekend’s Ultimate Big Boot, which included a group of winners from the 12 Days of Tigers prizes competition, as well as a special Welford’s Reindeer Races game.

Tigers are back in action this weekend with the return of the Gallagher Premiership and the visit of Harlequins this Saturday, December 22 (3.00pm) in Tigers final home game of 2018.

Fans are encouraged to wear their best Christmas jumpers and festive hats as the festive fun continues with the Kibworth Ladies Choir and inflatable fun for youngsters out on the plaza.

We’ll also be hosting rugby’s biggest pass the parcel following last season’s half-time hit as hundreds of Tigers fans came away with Tigers goodies and gear.

Last year, there were 50 parcels in play as supporters passed the parcels until the music stopped.
