Students looking to study higher education and further education courses are invited to join Leicester Tigers at Brooksby Melton College Open Day on Saturday, March 2.
With courses in Sport & Sport Science and agriculture available, youngsters can take part in a taster session led by Tigers coaches who will be available from 9.00am – 11.00am.
Leicester Tigers links with Brooksby Melton College helps provide unique work experience and learning opportunities for students at Welford Road Stadium and the club’s Oval Park training ground.
The courses include:
Higher education | FdSc/BSc Sport Science – unique opportunity to gain work experience in a professional rugby club environment in addition to your studies as well as having training and playing opportunities.
Further Education | BTEC Level 2/3 Sport, Sport Science & Agriculture - all courses accept rugby applicants with the opportunity to represent the college in games and additional training sessions.
Prospective students will also be able to have a tour of the campus throughout the morning, as well as Brooksby Melton College’s accommodation and facilities.
The Brooksby Melton College rugby pathway is also an opportunity for young players entering the development programme of being selected into Tigers Achieving Academic and Sporting Excellence (AASE) squad.
