Guinness Premiership champions Leicester Tigers will be hosting a rugby course during half-term to help young players improve their skills.

Tigers, who beat London Irish 10-9 at Twickenham on Saturday to win a second Guinness Premiership title in three years, will be working with young players at Melton Mowbray RFC and passing on some of the tips that have taken the club to a record eighth English title.

Glenn Gelderbloom, who twice won Europe's Heineken Cup as a player with Tigers and is now head of one of the club’s Elite Player Development Groups, will take charge of the course, which is for players aged between eight and 16 and runs from May 26-29.

Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager, said: “It is a great opportunity for young players to shine and develop their rugby skills under the watchful eye of a great coach and player like Glenn.

“He knows first-hand what makes the difference at the top level. The hard work, dedication and technical excellence of our coaches bring a focus to the abilities and enthusiasm of the young players on our courses."
