A mainstay of the Tigers calendar, the annual Leicester Tigers’ Pub Quiz is back this December with fans being able to take part in the virtual quiz from their own homes. 

2020 has been a year like no other. And with Mattioli Woods Welford Road currently closed to supporters, the club has decided to bring the popular event to living rooms around the world. 

Taking place on Wednesday, December 9 via the zoom video platform, teams will be able to compete against one another, as well as a specially formed team of Tigers brainiacs, to see who will be crowned Pub Quiz champion. 

Places cost £15, which will grant each team access to the exclusive call, where they will be able to test their knowledge and hear from Leicester Tigers players in a live Q&A.

Bought to supporters in partnership with club partner Everards, the winning team will walk away with a signed Leicester Tigers 2020/21 Home shirt, with second place taking home a signed rugby ball. Several club sponsors will also be providing a variety of other prizes across the board. 

The virtual doors will open at 7.00pm with the chance to grab a drink and chat to other fans ahead of a prompt 7.30pm start led by Tigers head of communications and part-time quizmaster Gary Sherrard. 

Five rounds follow on General Knowledge, Sport, Film and TV, Geography before a Tigers round finale. 

Teams can be made up of one or multiple households, with the opportunity to leave the main call to your private breakout room, where you will fill out the online form together, before re-joining the main call to run through the answers after each round. 

Scheduled to last around two hours, guests will receive details of how to join the Pub Quiz before Monday, December 7.
