Leicester Tigers mascot Welford will be on the road this weekend to meet young fans at the JTC Big Day Out.On Saturday, Welford and the Junior Tigers Club team are visiting Wistow as the venue for their first JTC day out since the club’s re-launch in 2012.
The JTC welcomed its 40,000th member last season and is set to be even more successful this year.
We will be stationed in the ‘Funyard’ just before the entrance to Wistow Maze, with our popular speed pass challenge and tackle-o-meter to add to maze’s range of activities including Space Hopper racers, splat the rat and mini maze.
Wistow Maze is the country’s largest maize maze and a popular family destination during the eight weeks it is open each year. The maze has a new theme and layout each summer, and in honour of Leicester Tigers and the Rugby World Cup year this year’s theme is rugby.
There will be competitions across the day, and Welford will have a take-home gift for each young supporter who completes the three-mile long maze.
Wistow Maze is open from 10am-6pm on Saturday.
