Skills tips for all ages on Tigers Rugby Camps

Tigers Rugby Camps for girls and boys are now in place at two venues for February half-term. Book now as a perfect Christmas gift for the young rugby player in your family.

Brought to you by Leicester Tigers, the camps programme now includes tag rugby mornings for under-7s/8s, core full days for juniors, development afternoons to challenge older players and girls-only provision.

February half-term dates are at SMB College Brooksby Campus near Melton Mowbray during the week of February 15-18 and at Denstone College in Staffordshire from February 21.

All camps focus on skills development in a fun and physically active setting with professional coaches from the Tigers community team.

The new Tigers Development Camp takes place over three afternoon sessions for players in the under-14, 15 and 16 age groups, with a tighter focus on tactical and technical skills alongside athletic development, all based on the themes of the club’s Developing Player Programme run by the Tigers junior academy and ACE programme.

The four-day Core Camps are for players in the under-9s to under-13s groups, following age-grade guidelines, with a programme based on fun activities, rugby skills and fundamental fitness.

Tag Rugby Camps aim to introduce and encourage young players, with three mornings of games and enjoyable activities to support the development of fundamental movement, rugby and social skills.

The growth of girls’ and women’s rugby is central to the Tigers community programme, and a Girls-Only Camp at Denstone in February is for players in the under-13, 15 and 18 age groups.

Both venues have alternative outdoor surfaces and indoor space available so the camps will be able to run effectively and be enjoyable even in the event of inclement weather.

Rugby Camps prices are from £55 and places are available to book now at the Tigers ticket office. Book online, in person or phone the team on 0116 319 8888 (option 2).
