Youngsters from local youth rugby club’s had a day out to remember last weekend as they joined in a series of matchday coaching clinics on the famous Welford Road pitch.
Tigers matchday coaching clinics involve a dedicated training session with qualified Tigers coaches and due to last week’s Friday Aviva Premiership fixture, teams were invited back on the Saturday for a one-off session at the home of Leicester Tigers.
More than 160 groups have taken part in matchday coaching clinics this season, which take place ahead of every home match. The groups also receive tickets to a Tigers home match as well as the chance to quiz a Tigers player in a Q&A session.
Welford Road welcomed teams from Melton Mowbray RFC, Southwell RFC, South Leicester RFC, Newark RFC, Sheffield RFC, Syston RFC, Ilklet RUFC, Blyth RFC, Leicester Forest RFC and Bury St Edmunds RFC.
