Leicester Tigers and Kooga have announced a major new kit deal for Kooga to become the club's official kit supplier for the next six seasons.Andrew Ronnie, Kooga managing director, has hailed Kooga’s multi-million-pound agreement as a defining moment for the brand.   He said: "This is a substantial signing for Kooga and we are extremely excited about working with Leicester Tigers. It’s a sign of where we are as a brand that we can work with clubs as big as Leicester Tigers, one of the biggest and most recognisable rugby brands in Europe.   “At Kooga, we pride ourselves in manufacturing quality kit for all levels of the game and this deal is a statement of intent from us.”   Kooga’s deal to provide kit to the English rugby giants starts from season 2015/16 to 2022. In a huge move for the brand, the deal could be worth up to £4.5million over six years, firmly establishing Kooga as one of the major players in the rugby market.   This new high-profile partnership comes after a number of prominent announcements for the Manchester-based company which prove that Kooga has positioned itself as one of the key authentic rugby brands. Having just completed a deal with the Uruguay squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup, Leicester Tigers join a growing stable of Kooga-sponsored clubs including Scarlets, Worcester Warriors and Yorkshire Carnegie as well as rugby league side Huddersfield Giants.   Andrew Ronnie commented: “Kooga is deeply ingrained within the sport; we are a brand that provides high-quality, durable equipment that is made for rugby. Our new partnership with one of the most recognisable and well supported rugby union teams in Europe is a further sign that Kooga is committed to supporting rugby at all levels of the game – from amateur to elite.”   The Leicester Tigers squad boasts some of the most influential players in European rugby including England internationals Tom and Ben Youngs, Manu Tuilagi, Dan Cole and Tom Croft, and overseas stars Marcos Ayerza, Logovi’i Mulipola and Vereniki Goneva.   Leicester Tigers chief executive Simon Cohen said: “We look forward to working with Kooga over the course of the next six seasons and we’re sure our supporters are equally keen to see the designs of the new kit ahead of the 2015/16 season.”   The home kit will be revealed on Thursday, July 16 with replica shirts on sale from selected Kooga retailers and www.leicestertigers.com from August 1.   Tigers kick off their 2015/16 season in their new Kooga kit in October.   For more information on Kooga, please visit www.kooga-rugby.com, facebook.com/koogarugby or twitter.com/koogaofficial.
