Corry, the former Tigers and England captain, will cut the ribbon on the redeveloped club shop, which will offer a retail experience bigger than any other rugby club in the country when it opens at 10am this Thursday.
Corry won every major honour with club and country. After spells with Newcastle and Bristol, ‘Cozza’ joined Leicester Tigers in 1997 and won five Premiership titles, two Heineken Cups and an EDF Energy Cup, captaining the club to the first league and cup double of the professional era in 2006/07. He won 64 caps for England, including three Rugby World Cup campaigns and two seasons as captain, and played in seven Tests for the British & Irish Lions.
The state-of-the-art store at Welford Road has doubled in size to 2,000 square feet and will feature new and exclusive product ranges, with improved ordering services and an innovative multi-channel shopping experience, allowing supporters to order items in-store for delivery anywhere in the world.
Fans will also see a transformation of the online store, which will relaunch at the same time. The online store will offer improved ordering and delivery options, and enabling them to purchase online and collect in store.
And supporters will be able to purchase Tigers’ new kit for the coming season in playing quality in person at the store or online by clicking here. They will also be able to pre-order replica kits.
The redevelopment is part of Tigers’ 10-year multi-million pound deal with sports retail specialist Kitbag, Tigers’ official retails partner.
Corry will also be taking part in a question and answer session with an invited audience during an exclusive preview of the new store at Welford Road on Wednesday, August 10.
