Take on the challenge of The Leicester 10K

Get the new year off to a running start whilst raising funds for The Leicester Tigers Foundation's 'Healthy Schools' initiative.

The Leicester Tigers Foundation is a charity partner for the 2023 Run for All Leicester 10K.

Taking place on Sunday, January 29, the route takes runners from Jubilee Square in Leicester through the city centre and on to Victoria Park before weaving its way through the University of Leicester and then back to Jubilee Square.

The Leicester Tigers Foundation is targeting the most disadvantaged areas within the city. Raising £10,000 will enable them to reach over 2000 children to offer free practical activities, as well as guidance around healthy eating and wellbeing

Speaking about Healthy Schools, Leicester Tigers Foundation Manager Sam Swift said: "Current childhood obesity levels within the city double from 13% in Reception to 26% at Year Six, so we are all passionate about understanding the reasons behind this increase and tackling the problem head-on."

This project has already attracted initial support from the Everards Foundation.
