Leicester Tigers back to winning ways!

Figure image
The JTC VIP Area was bustling with excited junior members on Friday, October 10, as Leicester Tigers got back to winning ways with a 22-16 victory over Harlequins.

The JTC VIP Area opened as usual two hours before kick off, to the sound of the Oompah band playing outside on the plaza for the Oktoberfest. Welford paraded around in his lederhosen outfit as the JTC members made the most of the free activities.

Meanwhile Scott Hamilton and Gonzalo Camacho made a star appearence for the question and answer session. We got to find out what it's like for Gonzalo to play for Argentina, and we heard all about Scott's daughter Eva's matchday mascot experience. Also we found out that Fraser Balmain has the smelliest socks in the team!

Following the JTC, Blaine Scully scored his first try of the season and Owen Williams scored the rest of the points to help Leicester Tigers earn a great win over Harlequins.

Half-time saw the second Challenge Welford of the season as Will Beggy took on Welford in a ball dribbling contest. Will raced out from underneath the posts at the Goldmiths end and dribbled his ball around the cones, to the 22m line and back, as the Welford Road crowd roared him home to win in style. Well done will! Will won his very own JTC t-shirt and a next voucher for his impressive display.

Make sure you head down to the JTC VIP area on Saturday, October 18, for the next home game v Ulster Rugby. The JTC VIP Area will be open from 5:45pm, so make sure you make the most of the free actitivites on offer and enter your name for your chance to Chellenge Welford, be a matchday mascot or Tiger Cub.

See you soon!

Welford.
