Some of the most memorable matches in the Lions’ rich history have come from games against the Springboks, including the victorious tour in ’97 captained by Martin Johnson and coached by Ian McGeechan.
McGeechan, taking charge of the Lions for a record fourth time, is determined to restore the tourists' unique ethos and has outlined the back-to-basics approach that he hopes can inspire the Lions to a series victory.

A South African Journey
A three-Test tour running from June 18 to July 7, taking in the cities of Durban, Cape Town, Pretoria and finally Johannesburg.
The tour includes a three-night stay in Livingstone so you will get the opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls, and three nights in the famous Sun City resort, aptly named ‘Africa’s Kingdom of Pleasure’.

The Lions Experience
This two-Test package runs from June 25 to July 6, taking in the second Test in Pretoria and the final Test in Johannesburg.
