Club legend Louis Deacon passed on some expert tips to young players on the Tigers Rugby Camp at Lichfield RFC.

Deacon visited the camp last week where he took part in a question-and-answer session, talked about life as a professional player and signed shirts, balls and water bottles for participants.

This week’s young players on the Tigers Rugby Camp at Lincoln RFC will be joined by Tigers centre George Catchpole, while new signing Luke Hamilton at Trent College and academy lock Joe Maksymiw at Ratcliffe College.

The camps are part of a full programme for the Tigers community team this summer, which includes further camps throughout the Tigers region as well as a series of camps in Japan.

Tigers host camps next week at Market Harborough RFC, North Walsham RFC, Market Rasen & Louth RUFC and the residential camp at Bishop Burton College, with further camps at Leamington RFC and Swaffham RFC the following week.

Louis Deacon will also be making an appearance at Bishop Burton and will also join Boris Stankovich and Martin Corry who will be meeting young players at the Market Harborough camp.

Players of all abilities are able to improve their individual and team skills under the guidance of Tigers coaches with Tigers rugby Camps offering tag rugby for under-7s and under-8s on  half-days (9.30am-12.30pm) and contact rugby opportunities for under-9s and over for full days (9.30am-3.30pm).

Tigers Rugby Camp participants all receive a Tigers T-shirt, ball and drinks bottle, membership to the Junior Tigers Club, a free junior ticket to an allocated home game and there is a hot lunch provided for all full-day sessions.
