1993 is a year that is held in special memory by Leicester supporters, following a perfect Cup run on the way to recording a famous Pilkington Cup victory over Harlequins at Twickenham.
With already-established Tigers stars in the form of Dean Richards, John Wells, Jez Harris, John Liley and the Underwood brothers leading a side that also included youngsters Martin Johnson, Darren Garforth, Graham Rowntree, Richard Cockerill and Neil Back making a name for themselves in green, red and white, it was as balanced and entertaining a side that clubs worldwide could only dream of.
At the helm, working under the tutelage of Director of Coaching Tony Russ, were two club legends from their playing days, Ian 'Dosser' Smith and Paul Dodge.
Victories over London Scottish, Nottingham and a record-breaking defeat of Exeter set up a mouth-watering Derby Day semi-final against Northampton Saints at Welford Road on the way to HQ against 'Quins.
So, ahead of that, who better to look back on the famous Cup run than Dosser himself...who, in only the way the famous Tiger can, tells the tale of the run to lifting the Cup at HQ, as well as some of the more entertaining stories from the pivotal time in the Leicester club's history.
