Leicester Tigers club captain Tom Youngs previews the Gallagher Premiership game against London Irish in Round 12 of the 2020/21 season at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
Speaking about Friday night's opponents, Youngs said: "They're a good side and have got a wealth of experience."
"We know the challenge that awaits us tomorrow ... and want to build on some of the good stuff we did last week."
Youngs starts at hooker in Round 12, having shared the duties with Julián Montoya since the Argentina international's arrival in January, and admits whatever is best for the team is best for him.
"Whatever for the team is best ... whatever time I get I enjoy it," said Youngs.
"I enjoy every time I get to put the shirt on and get the opportunity to play."
The club captain also expressed his pride at the efforts of the youngsters in the Leicester squad, with the depth tested in recent weeks through suspension, injury and players away on international duty.
"We blooded some more young guys and gave them experiences," Youngs told LTTV.
"The squad depth gets tested at this time of the year ... but we're really happy with where this squad is.
"They're an exciting bunch, we want them to understand what it means to play for Leicester Tigers ... what it's about putting the shirt on."
