Dads enjoy Father’s Day stadium tours

The doors to Welford Road were opened this weekend for a set of special stadium tours to celebrate Father’s Day.

Organised by the Leicester Tigers Foundation, Tigers fans and families enjoyed a behind-the-scenes experience at the world-famous home of the Tigers as well as a Q&A session with lock Harry Wells.

More than 60 fans learned about Tigers' history and had the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of rugby legends and visit the Welford Road changing rooms.

They also got their hands on the 2002 European Cup from the club’s trophy cabinet in the main reception of the Holland & Barrett Stand before being treated to a special two-course buffet lunch served in the stadium’s exclusive Clubhouse Suite in the Robin Hood Stand. Tigers academy product Wells was also on hand to chat to the groups.

Each dad took away a leather-bound Tigers hip flask as a special gift.

Tigers stadium tours have continued to grow in popularity since starting in early 2018. The next tour is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, June 26. The tour will start at 7pm and last around one hour. Tickets are limited to only 30 places.

Tickets are priced £8 for adult season ticket holders and £4 for concessions and junior season ticket holders. Tickets are £12 for adult non-season ticket holders and £8 for non-season ticket holder juniors and concessions.

Doors open 30 minutes before the start of the tour for a tea/coffee in the Final Whistle bar and a meet and greet with Tigers mascot Welford.

Book your place at the link below or contact the Tigers ticket office on 0116 319 8888 (option 2).
