Major General Jonathan Shaw CBE, former British army officer & cyber security expert, is the guest speaker at the next Leicester Tigers Luncheon Club event.

Tigers hosts the second of its new Luncheon Club networking events sponsored by club partner Mattioli Woods on Wednesday, March 28.

Shaw joined the Parachute Regiment in 1981 and appointed Officer of 2nd Battalion, Parachute Regiment in 1997 before being made Commander of 12th (Mechanised) Brigade in 2002, commanding the Multi-National Brigade Centre in Kosovo.

He also served in Iraq as General Officer Commanding Multi-National Division and later named Assistant Chief of Defence Staff.

Retiring from the army in 2012, Shaw’s role in the Ministry of Defence and as a leading cyber security expert has made him a popular speaker at events around the world. He is chairman of OPTIMA Group, who work to alleviate explosive threats in areas affected by conflict.

Tigers Luncheon Club invites businesses to the home of the Leicester Tigers for an opportunity to network, socialise and hear from top guest speakers from sporting and business backgrounds.

Former politician and successful author Lord Jeffrey Archer entertained more than 100 guests at the first Luncheon Club event in November.

Membership is available from £150 plus VAT per person and includes one place at each of the next three lunchtime events which run from noon until 2.30pm.
