Tigers took the spoils against their fiercest rivals with a 28-24 win in Round 20 of the Gallagher Premiership on Sunday.
“The most important thing was we got a result and we needed to make amends for the last game on Wednesday which was not good enough,” Nadolo said, referencing the midweek loss at Wasps.
“We wanted to give something back to the fans.
“Being a derby, we wanted to make sure that we played well and did better than we did in the last game.”
“To get the win against a Northampton team – in such a big derby of over 100 years – and to be part of it for the first time was really good.
“And also for Ben Youngs, in his 250th game, we had that in the back of our mind – to get him a win.”
