There will be a partial closure of Junction 21 on the weekends beginning November 15 and 22 for the whole weekend. Carriageway widening, reconstruction and drainage work will result in the south-west section of the roundabout’s closure.
This will mean that traffic will not be able to travel westbound on the M69 from junction 21 and the M1 northbound exit slip will have to be closed.
Diversions will be in place but motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys and allow additional time.
The M69 diversion will take traffic on to the A5 and this could lead to congestion and delays in that area.
Partial closure starts at 10pm on Friday, November 15 through to 6am on Monday.
For the second weekend partial closure begins at 10pm on Friday, November 22 through to 6am on November 25.
All supporters using this route to Welford Road for next Saturday’s Aviva Premiership fixture between Leicester Tigers and London Irish should allow extra time for their journey.
