Leicester Tigers have confirmed Vicky Macqueen will finish up her time as Head of Women’s Rugby at the end of the season.

Macqueen has played a pivotal role in the establishment of Tigers’ Women’s programme, guiding the team through the club’s first season in Premiership Women’s Rugby, coaching the side in their maiden season in the Championship.

Speaking about her time at Tigers, Macqueen was proud of the growth in Tigers’ Women’s rugby.

“I’ve given so much to the programme over these past two seasons and I’m proud to have been here at the start of Leicester Tigers Premiership journey.”

“Our group has come a long way and although I’m moving on from this role, I hope the foundations we have put in place will see the team go from strength to strength in the years to come.

“The team, our staff have worked incredibly hard this season and have lived the values we wanted to instil in this first season, and I can only thank them for their commitment to the programme.

“We’ve still got one game to go this season so we’re focusing on preparing well and finishing the season with a good performance.”

Leicester Tigers Chief Executive officer, Andrea Pinchen said: “On behalf of everyone at Leicester Tigers, I want to thank Vicky for her tireless work within our Women’s programme in her time at the club.”

“Vicky played such a pivotal role in recruitment, operations and of course the high-performance programme and through her work, has left an important mark on the club.”
