Leicester Tigers host Scottish opposition for the first time in nine seasons when Glasgow Warriors arrive at Welford Road on Saturday.

Defeat against Racing 92 in Paris last week ended Tigers’ hopes of a place in the knockout stages, but visitors Warriors are still chasing points to book one of the best runners-up spots.

Warriors record a 42-13 win at their Scotstoun home in the opening meeting of the sides back in October, though Tigers have won both home games in Pool 1 so far against Munster and Racing.

The last visit of a Scottish side to Welford Road was in November 2007 when Geordan Murphy and skipper Martin Corry were among the try-scorers in a 39-0 victory for the hosts. Click here for all the details from that game.

Jack Roberts and Luke Hamilton return to the Tigers starting line-up, while Dom Barrow and Owen Williams have a place in the matchday 23 after recovering from injury. Warriors include 14 internationals in the starting line-up and welcome back Henry Pyrgos – a try-scorer in the win over Tigers in Round 1 – among the replacements.

Tigers head coach Aaron Mauger said: “We took a step back last week but there is another opportunity on Saturday. We’ll focus on a performance we can be proud of against a good Glasgow side.

“They are coming here aiming for a spot in the last eight but there is no reason our motivation should not be just as high. We owe it to ourselves and to all of the people who have stuck by us this season to get that performance.”

Referee on Saturday is French official Mathiew Raynal.

Match tickets are still available at the Tigers ticket office. Book in person at Welford Road, phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2) (open 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday) or click here to book online.
