Leicester Tigers match tickets for the new season went on general sale from the Welford Road ticket office at 8.30am on Monday.
Demand to see the defending Guinness Premiership champions and last season’s Heineken Cup finalists is always high and already more than 60 per cent of the stadium is sold out for the whole season thanks to season ticket sales and corporate hospitality.
That means booking early to guarantee the best possible places for the biggest games.
Tigers are marking the start of the new season in a new-look stadium by introducing some fantastic ticket offers, including a Try Before You Buy initiative and free entry for supporters aged under 10 for the opening home game, against Newcastle Falcons on Saturday, September 19 (5.35pm), if accompanied by a paying adult.
The Try Before You Buy scheme allows supporters to take advantage of special prices – just £15 adults, £10 young adults and full-time students, £5 juniors - AND then be able to redeem the ticket value against a season ticket or entry to any other Welford Road match before Christmas.
This offer runs until the end of the Tigers’ Open Day at 4pm on Sunday, September 13.
Tigers have also introduced a Pick 'n' Mix ticket option which allows supporters to attend three games and gain free entry to a fourth game of their choice.
To take advantage of the Pick 'n' Mix promotion, select a game from each of the three groups of matches listed below and receive a ticket to any game at Welford Road free.
Tigers managing director David Clayton said: “Supporters could, for example, watch the Heineken Cup campaign kick-off against Ospreys from Group One, see traditional rivals Gloucester Rugby from Group Two and be at Welford Road for the return of Neil Back with Leeds Carnegie from Group Three – and then get a free ticket to another home game of their choice.
“Although the option has only been available so far to members and season ticket holders requiring extra tickets for games, it has proved very popular and we feel sure that will be the case when we open it out to general sales next week.”
