Matchday guide: Tigers v Treviso this Sunday

Figure image
European rugby returns to Welford Road this Sunday (3pm) as Leicester Tigers host Italian visitors Benetton Treviso, and we'll kick off a full day's entertainment with a Christmas market from 11am.

The plaza in front of the Caterpillar Stand will be transformed into a Christmas market with stalls, food and drink, activities and a visit from Santa Claus. Supporters can browse Christmas gift stalls or enjoy carols sung by the Burton Choristers of the Loughborough Endowed Schools.

The Junior Tigers Club VIP Area will be open from midday until kick-off and members will be able to take part in games and acitivities and make Christmas decorations.

JTC members with a match ticket to the Treviso game will also be able to join in the post-match fun in the Underwoods Suite of the Goldsmiths Stand with our Christmas pantomime Puss In Boots. The pantomime begins at 5.30pm and is open to JTC members and their families only. Tickets are limited and priced £5 for adults and children. They are available from the Welford Road ticket office, on 0844 856 1880 or online by clicking here.

The Tigers Club Store at Welford Road and the ticket office are open from 9am on matchday and there are extra shop points open around the stadium.

We'll be joined in store by some of the Tigers players for a signing session (11.30am-12.30pm) and there are some great offers available too.

All five matchday bus services run by Arriva will be in operation this week, running from Market Harborough, Oakham, Nuneaton, Market Bosworth and Coalville. For more details and this week’s timetable, click here.

Turnstiles for the match, and all bars and food kiosks, including Domino’s Ready 2 Go pizza, Flaming Good Burger, Frank’s New York Street Hot-Dogs and Henry’s Chicken will all be open at 1pm. There is also a hog roast for hot pork rolls in the Final Whistle and in the ABC Bar in the Holland & Barrett Stand.

Sunday’s match programme includes a special feature on The Three Wise Men (Plus One) who give their thoughts on the year so far, the Christmas season and what 2013 has in store for us all. Read the views of Richard Cockerill and the Inside Line pages written by George Chuter. Academy manager Neil McCarthy previews the opening fixtures in the new National Academies League, and there are some special Christmas puzzles in the Junior Tigers Club pages. The 100-page programme is available throughout the stadium, price £3.

Match tickets for Sunday are still available. Phone the Tigers ticket office on 0844 856 1880 or call in at Welford Road (open 8.30-5pm Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday and from 9am on Sunday). Or book online any time.

The collection point on matchdays for pre-ordered tickets is outside the ticket office in the corner of the Caterpillar Stand plaza.

After the game supporters can enjoy live music from resident band Rock Bottom in Final Whistle.

The ticket office will remain open for home and away ticket sales and also Season Ticket Tasters and 2013/14 season ticket sales.

Look out for all the team news ahead of the big game on the club website at lunchtime on Friday.
