Figure image
Welford Road hosts a vital Aviva Premiership fixture on Saturday when Leicester Tigers host Exeter Chiefs. Kick-off is at 3pm.Saturday is Junior Tigers Club Takeover day, when young supporters have an opportunity to fill matchday roles behind the scenes as well as enjoying activities inside the stadium.   The Junior Tigers Club area of Final Whistle is open from 1pm with activities for younger supporters. JTC membership is free and you can sign up at Welford Road or on the club website.   Turnstiles open from 1pm and there are activities on the plaza outside the MET-Rx Stand including the StubHub lucky turnstile, CAT equipment, Easter egg game, Comic Relief photo booth, music from resident band Rock bottom and the chance to win a £50 Highcross shopping voucher with Spire.   All bars and food kiosks are also open from 1pm and there is now also a sweets stall on the plaza for all home games.   Just two points separate fifth-placed Tigers and second-placed Chiefs going into this Round 18 fixture so the stakes could hardly be any higher for the start of a five-game run-in to the end of the league season.   Tigers are able to welcome back the players who have been on international duty during the RBS 6 Nations, while Chiefs are expected to include former Tigers No8 Thomas Waldrom in their ranks.   The final remaining tickets for Saturday’s game are on sale now from the Tigers ticket office. The office is open 8.30am-5pm weekdays and from 9am up to kick-off on Saturday. Call in or phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2). Or book online any time by clicking here.   If you have pre-ordered any match tickets, please note these will be available at the Collection Point outside the MET-Rx Stand on matchday and not at the ticket office.   The day’s action opens with the Prima Tiger Cup for under-10s teams from across the region and the presentations will be held on the pitch at half-time.   If this is your first Tigers matchday – or you are bringing someone new – there is a chance to win a great prize too. As part of the ‘My First Matchday’ you can sign up a first-time visitor by clicking here. Or speak to a Games Keeper at the stadium and you will go into a prize draw to win a bag of Tigers goodies.   First-time visitors can also pick up a My First Matchday certificate signed by club captain Ed Slater from Games Keepers who form part of the customer services team.   The Club Store is open all day with special offers on kit, leisurewear and souvenirs. There is a pop-up shop on the plaza and merchandise units inside the MET-Rx Stand after the turnstiles have opened.   This week’s 100-page matchday programme includes an interview about rugby’s influence in the Pacific Islands with Logovi’i Mulipola, Seremaia bai and Christian Loamanu, plus Matt Hampson’s Heroes & Villains column with Jordan Crane, and all the news and views from inside Welford Road. The programme is on sale throughout the stadium, price £3.   Arriva’s special matchday bus services are in operation on five routes, from Market Bosworth, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Oakham and Nuneaton, and there is also a minibus service from Coalville. Click here for the link to pick-up points, timetable and fare details.   After the match, resident band Rock Bottom will be providing live music in Final Whistle.   If you are a current season ticket holder or a supporter wanting to buy a season ticket for the first time, Saturday is the deadline to take advantage of the very best prices and the chance to win an Ultimate Season Ticket Experience for you and a group of friends or family with StubHub. See the club website or call in at the ticket office for details or to book your place for 2015/16. Saturday's match is not scheduled for any live TV coverage so the only way to guarantee a place in the action is at Welford Road. We look forward to seeing you!
