Matchday in Toulouse

Figure image
Matchday is here and the countdown continues to Leicester Tigers' Heineken Cup clash with Toulouse.

Tigers take on the defending French champions in the 35,000-capacity Stadium (kick-off 3pm UK time). Around 1,000 Tigers fans are expected to be at the game and will add their noise to a loud and colourful atmosphere.

Tigers fans in Toulouse woke to grey skies with rain forecast for the game and temperatures at kick-off expected to be around 14C. Some fans were still arriving in the city on Sunday morning on flights from the UK, including Bristol Airport, and journeys from other French towns and cities.

On Saturday, Leicester fans were out in numbers in Toulouse, proudly wearing their Tigers colours. Many watched the day’s Heineken Cup fixtures in the city’s bars, including the Melting Pot and De Danu, while others browsed the shops or enjoyed walks in the sunshine along the river.

We will use as many of your photos as we can in our online galleries, and in the Tigers matchday programme for the game against Ospreys on Sunday.

The Pool 2 game is being shown live in the UK on Sky Sports 1 and there is live commentary on BBC Radio Leicester.

You can also stay in touch with the game and fellow Tigers fans on the Official Leicester Tigers Facebook pages and @LeicesterTigers on Twitter.
