Aaron Mauger got off the mark with his first try in Leicester Tigers colours during the Guinness Premiership win over Bristol last Saturday, but immediately paid tribute to the whole team for their afternoon's work.
The New Zealand international centre opened the scoring with a sixth-minute try in the 32-14 victory over Bristol and said: “It is always nice to dot down, though I didn’t have to do too much for the try. Alesana Tuilagi had done most of the hard work in breaking through their defence.

“The way we played with the ball as a team was the focus for us. There were good decisions made across the board. Harry Ellis and the forwards ran the rucks very well and that gave the backline a bit of space outside and some decent options.”
Victory was just what Tigers needed after three successive disappointments in league and cup. Now the squad are preparing for the final two weeks of the regular league season ,with a trip to Newcastle Falcons on Sunday, May 4 and a sell-out home game against Harlequins six days later.
“We need as many points as possible to stay in the hunt for the play-offs so we have got to perform well and get good results two more times,” added Mauger.
