Meet The Maul this weekend

Come and meet the Tigers roadshow team at the Heckington Show this weekend.

The club’s new roadshow vehicle, The Maul, will be bringing rugby fun and games to the show, as well as information on the nine-times English champions.

The Maul is enjoying a busy summer with trips to events including the Aviva Premiership Final, Rutland Show, Heart of the Forest Festival and Bosworth Show in recent weeks.

Test yourself in the Speed Pass Challenge, with the champion at each event offered the chance to compete against other winners at half-time during a first-team game at Welford Road next season.

We’ve also got the Spot the Ball Wall and the interactive Tigers Quiz, giving visitors a chance to win a family ticket to the opening home match of next season at Welford Road.

There is a chance to improve your game with rugby activities led by Tigers coaches, and club mascot Leicester the Tiger is meeting young supporters. You can even sign up and claim free membership of the Junior Tigers Club.

“It’s great to see so many people getting involved, having a go at our rugby activities and really enjoying themselves all over the Tigers region,” says Chris Rose, Leicester Tigers’ head of brand development.

"Leicester Tigers have very close links with Lincolnshire with a large number of season ticket holders in the county, and great support for Tigers Rugby Courses and our junior tournaments from players and clubs all over the county."

Tigers will be back in Lincolnshire during the school summer holidays with Tigers Rugby Courses hosted by Stamford School (August 1-5), Market Rasen & Louth RFC (August 15-19) and Sleaford RFC (August 22-26).

Tigers Rugby Courses are led by top coaches and former players including former captain Ian Smith, double European Cup winner Glenn Gelderbloom and ex-hooker Troy Thacker. Open to players from under-9 to under-16, courses feature coaching on all aspects of the game and players receive Tigers Rugby Course T-shirt, rugby ball and water bottle, and a ticket to a selected game at Welford Road next season, as well as a hot meal every day.
