Meet the Tigers Wheelchair Rugby team this Friday at Leicester's de Montfort University during the International Day of Disabled People.

Around 15 per cent of the world’s population live with some form of disability and the day aims to highlight the gains that can be made from integrating people with disabilities into every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.

The Tigers Wheelchair Rugby team will be at the university’s Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Centre on Friday for a talk, demo game and the opportunity for people to try their hand at wheelchair rugby. The Tigers team play all their home matches at the QEII Leisure Centre.

The event starts at 12.30pm with a talk from the Tigers head coach and former Paralympian Rob Tarr, a demo game at 12.45pm, and then, from 1.45pm, it’s your chance to have a go at this fast-paced full-contact sport.
