Claire and Scott Oldfield first met in The Final Whistle following a Leicester Tigers home match back in 2010. Little did they know that five years later they would be introducing their son Wilson to Tigers star Manu Tuilagi.
As part of our #MeetTheFamily campaign, we’ve been asking fans to share stories about their experiences following Tigers and why they support the club.
We caught up with Claire and Scott at the second of our Lions Kegs & Eggs events at Welford Road last Saturday as the British & Irish Lions beat the All Blacks to set up a thrilling finale this weekend. If you haven’t booked your place already, you can book Kegs & Eggs tickets for this Saturday morning by clicking here.
As Tigers-mad parents, Claire and Scott took baby Wilson to his first match at Welford Road when he was just a two weeks old and, luckily for them, they bumped into Tuilagi who was more than happy to pose for a photo!
Last season, our #MeetTheFamily photographer managed to snap the Oldfield family as they watched Tigers from the terrace and we even had the picture made into a canvas.
We always want to hear about your fans stories and it’s easy to get involved. If you have an interesting story, photo or just want to share how much you love Tigers, here’s how to get in touch:
Facebook: Send us your story by messaging the page or writing a message on our timeline using #MeetTheFamily. Your story can be as long as you like. Don't forget to include your photo.
Twitter: Send us a tweet @LeicesterTigers using #MeetTheFamily, include your image and your 140-character story.
Email: If email is more your thing, send your story and photo to [email protected]
We look forward to seeing Scott, Claire and Wilson in the stands in the new season.
