David Mele has received a one-game ban following a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday evening.
The Leicester Tigers scrum-half was sent off by referee Wayne Barnes in the Aviva Premiership match against Bath on Saturday and charged with stamping or trampling, contrary to Law 10.4(b).
At the hearing, at Coventry Holiday Inn, Mele pleaded guilty and was given a one-week ban. He is free to play again on September 30 and is therefore unavailable for Saturday’s Aviva Premiership home game against London Irish.
The panel, chaired by John Brennan, comprised of Peter Howard and Nigel Stelling
