Leicester Tigers welcomed pupils from Merton Primary School in Syston, Leicester to Welford Road, who are the first school to take part in the club's new Multi-Sports programme called Tiger Sports.

The programme offers primary schools a range of breakfast, lunch and after-school clubs across a number of sports.

The youngsters were invited down by the programme's rugby development officer Dom Owen for a photo on the pitch with Tigers player Harry Thacker and soaked up the matchday atmosphere as Tigers beat Cardiff Blues in the Anglo Welsh Cup on Saturday. 

The programme also offers the opportunity for schools to use Tigers’ professional multi-sport coaches to teach primary school PE.
