In an all-encompassing interview, looking back on the first half of the 2019/20 campaign and his tenure in the top-job, Leicester Tigers head coach and Director of Rugby in-waiting, Geordan Murphy, sits down with LTTV at the club's Oval Park training ground.

The Tigers boss shares whether or not he believes the Premiership and European campaigns so far this season have been ‘pass marks’ and responds to questions on early-season ‘promises’ made by Murphy and his coaching staff before a ball was kicked in the current campaign.

Murphy was officially appointed Head Coach midway through the 2018/19 season, after initially taking on the role in an interim capacity just one round into the campaign, also discusses the his evolution and learnings since being thrust into the top job.

In addition to the action on the field, the 41-year-old opens up on the impact of the role on his personal and family life away from the pitch.

After announcing a handful of new additions who will join the Tigers Family in the summer, Murphy also shares his thoughts on their arrivals; including the impact he believes Steve Borthwick will have when the incoming Head Coach arrives in Leicester.

With speculation surrounding the balancing of duties between the pair, Murphy also responds to questions about how he believes the partnership will work moving forward.

As well as those already announced arrivals, Murphy hints at additional new recruits to be announced and potential, further changes to the coaching staff.

The head coach also shares his thoughts on the Tigers academy programme, after a third successive Under-18 League title win this season, the improvements in the development pathway and roles of Jan McGinity and Ged Glynn, as well as the support he has received from the Tigers Board.

Murphy, finally, looks ahead to the remaining fixtures in the 2019/20 season, and the journey the club are on after a handful of tumultuous years in recent memory.
