More to come, says Heyneke

Heyneke Meyer says Leicester Tigers have yet to hit top form, despite winning eight of their first 10 games this season.

Tigers are second in the Guinness Premiership table and travel to the Recreation Ground on Saturday to take on leaders Bath Rugby.

And Tigers head coach Meyer says his team are ready for a “huge challenge”.

He said: “It’s very tough playing away but we have a good record playing away from home.

“It should be a huge challenge but I am positive and I think the guys will live up to it.

“We haven’t played our best rugby. I am quite positive that things will fall into place soon.”

George Chuter, Jordan Crane and Dan Hipkiss are available for selection after returning from England duty, while Geordan Murphy has returned to the camp after being away with Ireland. Meyer could also call on experienced players Martin Corry, Aaron Mauger and Julian White, who missed Tigers last game against Sale in the EDF Energy Cup.

Meyer said: “If you put on a Leicester jersey I want to see the pride and tradition when you go out there.

“It will be a very physical and tough game, and to go there and get the points is what we need to do.”
