Figure image
Murrayfield Stadium have supplied answers to frequently asked questions about matchday operations in the Scottish capital...

Q: I don’t have a ticket but I know I can probably get one outside the stadium on the day.
A: Scottish Rugby does not encourage supporters to purchase tickets from anything other than official sources and discourages the activities of ticket touts. Tickets being sold on unofficial websites may be investigated and those seats will be cancelled.

Q: Can I bring a camera?
A: Small amateur cameras are permitted. Large professional cameras are not. By small, we mean pocket-size digital cameras or SLR cameras with zoom lenses no more powerful than 300m. Tripods are not permitted.

Q: Can I bring an air horn?
A: Yes. Only mechanised air horns (blow through or wind up) are allowed. Pressurised containers are not permitted.

Q: Can I bring rucksacks or suitcases?
A: Small backpacks are permitted but suitcases or larger items will be denied access. A guide of size is something that will comfortably fit beneath your seat. Murrayfield Stadium assume no responsibility for baggage within the stadium.  Rucksacks or similar will be subject to a search before entry.

Q: Can I bring a buggy into the stadium?
A: No.  There is no facility for buggies and there is no facility for buggy drop-off and collection.

Q: Is there a baby changing facility available?
A: No.

Q: Can I bring juice into the stadium?
A: Cans cannot be brought into the stadium as part of the stadium ground rules.  A relaxation has been given to plastic bottles of soft drinks and water of up to 500ml. The lid must be sealed and intact. No alcohol will be permitted to be brought into the stadium.

Q: Can I bring food into the stadium?
A: There are catering outlets throughout the stadium and therefore there should be no requirement.

Q: What happens if I have special dietary requirements, though?
A: We will not stop anyone bringing food or drink into the stadium under these circumstances, providing that any soft drinks / water are in sealed plastic bottles no larger than 500ml.

Q: Can I bring tea / coffee in a flask into the stadium?
A: Flasks are not permitted. Bags are subject to search on entering the stadium and the contents of any flasks will be tipped out and the containers will have to be left outside. In line with other major venues, unsealed containers are not permitted to be taken into the stadium.

Q:  Can I take my drink to my seat?
A: Yes.

Q:  Will I be able to smoke in stadium?
A: No. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the stadium.

Q: How do I access the disabled terraces (12A/34A)
A: There are three lifts in the stadium, in the North and South stands and centre of the West stand. Please inform the nearest steward who will provide assistance if required.
