The official unveiling of the Leicester Tigers Foundation Monument will be re-arranged following the decision to postpone on the original date last Friday.
With the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the decision was taken to not go ahead with military, rugby and community guests at a ceremony at Mattioli Woods Welford Road the following morning, and arrangements are now being made for an alternative date.
Supporters who made a donation for a Monument Crown will receive full details once the new date has been confirmed.
The Monument, acknowledging the club’s close links with the Leicestershire Regiment and all military services over the last 140 years, has been created by designer Harvey Gardiner and artist Steve Winterburn as an interactive focalpoint on the new plaza outside the stadium.
