Leicester Tigers will be hosting the final two Business Club events LIVE at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on May 24 and June 30 capping off the 2020/21 season.

Former heavyweight champion of the world David Haye was due to joins guests at the stadium on April 14, however following news of the latest Covid-19 restrictions in February, this date has been moved to June 30 to ensure guests can attend in person.

British army veteran and activist Simon Weston CBE will be the guest speaker on May 24 having originally been confirmed to attend back in May 2020 before the global pandemic.

After suffering life-changing burns during his time in the Falklands, Simon’s courage and charity work have been recognised and honoured on a number of occasions including an OBE and CBE.

After conquering the cruiserweight division, David Haye moved up to the heavyweight in 2008, winning the WBA title in 2009 after defeating the 7ft Nikolai Valuev. Haye is one of only two boxers in history to have unified the cruiserweight world titles and become a world heavyweight champion.

The club is hopeful that under the latest government guidelines, it will be able to open the doors to Mattioli Woods Welford Road, with safety measures in place so that we can continue to keep guests safe throughout the lifting of restrictions.
