Tigers kits unveiled ahead of new season

The club has today revealed the Leicester Tigers home and alternate kits to be worn during the 2019/20 campaign.

Modelled by new signings EW Viljoen, Jaco Taute and Nephi Leatigaga plus supporters’ young player of the season in 2018/19, Jake Kerr, the new home shirt features a green base with traditional red and white hoops.

The home kit is completed with green shorts, while the classic Tigers stripes return to the green socks the players will wear when they run out at Welford Road.

A new alternate shirt – as worn by forwards trio Greg Bateman, Hanro Liebenberg and Jordan Coghlan alongside versatile back Noel Reid – sees a ‘fluoro-red’ shirt accented with dynamic Tigers stripes across the chest and arms.

Matching shorts will be complemented with red socks when Tigers are required to wear alternate colours away from home.

Both kits are again manufactured by the club’s technical partner Kukri, and boast a modern crew-neck collar as well as each player’s individual letter on the chest, reflecting the long-established heritage for lettered shirts.

This tradition is also reflected on both home and alternate shorts, with individual letters shown above the club crest on each players’ right thigh.

The logo of club main partner Holland & Barrett, the health and wellness retailers, takes pride of place on the front of the shirt, with construction materials group Breedon positioned above the club badge on the chest.

Wealth management experts Mattioli Woods and leading worldwide provider of payment technology Global Payments both sit above the number patch on the reverse of the shirt. Power tool supplier STIHL are positioned on the right sleeve with betting partner LeoVegas appearing on the shorts.

The new alternate kit will be worn for the first time at the Premiership Sevens this Friday (September 13) before Tigers’ Premiership Rugby Cup campaign kicks off away to Worcester Warriors on Saturday, September 21.

Both kits will be available for supporters to purchase in the Leicester Tigers Store at Welford Road and online from Wednesday, October 9, with no pre-order on offer ahead of the 2019/20 season.
