Katherine Baverstock has been called into the senior Wales squad to tour Australia this summer.
Having joined Leicester Tigers from Loughborough Lightning this summer, the prop is one of thirty players included in the touring squad but one of just three uncapped players (alongside Seren Lockwood and Tilly Vucaj), having played age-grade rugby for Wales U18s and U20s and impressed during a recent pre-season camp.
Talking about the new additions to his squad, Wales Head coach Sean Lynn said: "Seren, Katherine and Tilly really deserve their selection in the squad and have impressed us all with their rugby potential and attitude during pre-season."
A prelude to the Autumn's World Cup, Wales will play a two Test series against the Wallaroos, set to take place Saturday, July 26 and Friday, August 1 in Brisbane and Sydney respectively.
