Newark won a thrilling opening festival at Mellish RFC on Sunday, which also included teams from Keyworth, Newark, Nottingham Boots Corsairs, Paviors and Stamford.
They won all four games, including the final game against Stamford, who also needed to win the match to secure the chance to play at the home of Leicester Tigers.
Stamford took an early lead and were 2-1 up at the break. But a second-half fightback from Newark gave them a 3-2 win and a place in the quarter-finals, which will be played at Welford Road before Tigers face Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership on Saturday, November 27.
Now in its 16th season, the Prima Tiger Cup is supported by Loughborough-based Prima Solutions and is for under-10s teams across the country.
The second festival will take place at Lutterworth RFC on Sunday.
