Deacon barged over for the first of six tries in a bonus-point win that lifted Tigers top of the Guinness Premiership table.
It was Deacon’s sixth game in a row after returning from a back injury that kept him out for a large chunk of the season.
The lock said: “That’s six on the trot. I feel better every week. Every game I feel I am improving it’s just great to be out there.”
Deacon’s fifth-minute try finished off a period of sustained pressure on the Saracens defence. Tigers kept hold of possession for more than four minutes before Deacon forced his way over from close range.
“It was 50m!” he joked. “It was great support from Marcos (Ayerza) and I managed to just get over and get the ball on the line.
“It was a good start by the guys and great ball control. The guys were running some good lines and there was some great ball carrying.
“It was a great start but that can be dangerous.
“We let in a soft try and it was 10-all and that could have been dangerous. We stuck at it and ground out a few more scores.”
Tigers travel to Newcastle Falcons on Friday night, and Deacon says they cannot afford to switch off against a team that has won five off their last six games.
Deacon said: “We need to keep plugging away and to keep putting the results together.
“Next week is going to be tough going to Newcastle. We need to have the right attitude and keep the intensity that we are playing at.
“We can’t switch off, because it is a dangerous place to go. We have not had good results there over the last couple of years so we have to make sure that attitude is right.”
Leicester are next in action at Welford Road against Sale Sharks on Saturday, April 4 (kick-off 5pm) when supporters can share in a piece of Tigers history.
The match will be the final time the current Caterpillar Stand will be open to supporters. After more than 90 years of service, the stand is scheduled to be removed during April as part of the redevelopment of the new Caterpillar Stand which will take stadium capacity up to 24,000 next season.
