Jordan Olowofela has been nominated for the Breakthrough Player of the Tournament at the World Rugby U20 Championship.

Olowofela is on a four-player shortlist following his performances in helping England U20s to the final on Sunday, where they will play the host nation France.

Leicester Tigers academy graduate Olowofela has featured in all four of England’s games in the competition.

He scored two tries from the wing against Argentina in the opening game before coming on as a second-half replacement against Italy. He started at centre against Scotland in the final group game before moving back to the wing for the semi-final against South Africa from where he scored a crucial try in the 32-31 victory.

Olowofela is joined on the shortlist by England team-mate Gabriel Ibitoye, and the French duo Jordan Joseph and Romain Ntamack.
