Pause on launch of new ROARwards scheme

Following feedback from supporters – and with such a short close-season turnaround ahead of the 2020/21 campaign – the club has decided to press ‘pause’ and wait until the new year to launch the new Leicester Tigers ROARwards loyalty scheme.

When it is launched, the Tigers ROARwards programme will enable supporters to collect points when spending with the club, including renewing season tickets, buying match tickets or merchandise, and for engaging with Tigers social media, website and newsletters. Points can also be collected with thousands of online retail brands.

The more points collected, the bigger the saving that supporters will make on their next Tigers purchase. Supporters will also be able to use their points to enter monthly competitions to win great prizes and experiences such as a Zoom call with a first-team player or winning a Tigers shirt signed by the squad.

The short delay to the programme launch will allow us to share as much information as possible with supporters despite the absence of matchday messaging and face-to-face interaction in the ticket office, shop and stadium during the lockdown period.

Also, in addition to welcoming new main partners and new kit suppliers, the club has taken its entire retail operation in-house to take more control over stock, supply and service. The short delay will allow shop staff to continue to add more new products to the range on sale and deal with a busy Christmas period before the transfer of Credits to Tigers ROARwards early in 2021.

Chris Rose, Tigers head of brand, said: “Tigers ROARwards offers such a lot to supporters and to the club, and we believe it will become extremely popular. However, without having supporters in the stadium in great numbers, either on matchdays or in the shop and ticket office during the week, it is better to take a bit more time to share all of the information on how supporters can make the programme work best for them.

“Postponing its launch until the new year also avoids any confusion around using Credit and Tigers ROARwards points in the ticket office and shop in the run-up to the start of the new 2020/21 season and the Christmas shopping period.”

All Credit will return to Tigers ticketing accounts and can be used for purchases online, by phone and in the shop. If you are shopping online using Credit, please phone the Tigers ticket office on 0116 319 8888 (option 2) and they will process this through the Credit system accordingly.

Thank you for your continued support, and for your patience and co-operation.
