By car
There is no car park at the stadium, and parking in the streets around is VERY difficult from two or three hours before a match.
If you are really early, leave the motorway A9 at Perpignan Nord, following directions for ‘Perpignan Centre’, then ‘Stade Aimé Giral’. You will probably be able to park near the Lycée Maillol – a big school facing a park – then walk on for another five minutes towards the town centre.
By bus
These buses are FREE on presentation of your match ticket:
No2 (to Languedoc) from the railway station or city centre (Place de la Victoire). Bus every 10 minutes. Also No19 (to “Baixas) from city centre. Get off at Aimé Giral.
No25 from Torremila (business zone near airport) to Lancaster roundabout. Bus every 20 minutes. Lancaster is 5 minutes’ walk from the stadium.
Special shuttle bus from the car park at the Parc des Expositions in town. From 2 hours to 30 minutes before kick-off. Returns from 30 minutes to 90 minutes after final whistle.
On foot
The stadium is a 25-minute walk from the city centre (cross the river by the Pont Joffre and walk up Avenue Joffre), or 20 minutes from the Parc des Expositions (walk up Avenue Roudayre).
By air
Regular flights are met by a shuttle bus which takes you from Perpignan airport to the city centre. There are also taxis and car hire firms at the airport.
Refreshments at the stadium
The refreshment stalls do not accept cash. All purchases must be paid for with tokens (called ‘Tincset’).
There are eight dispensing machines on the ground selling Tincsets.
1 tincset = 1.50euro
A small beer costs 2 tincsets, a sandwich costs 3 tincsets
To avoid queuing, think ahead and change your euros to tincset as soon as you arrive at the stadium.
