Tigers released 50 balloons into the Leicester sky at half-time of the Guinness Premiership game against Gloucester at the start of March.
Each balloon had a voucher that can be redeemed for a ticket to the Heineken Cup quarter-final against Bath at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday, April 11 (kick-off 6pm).
Phillip discovered one of the balloons, and with it a ticket to the last-eight game, as he worked in a field in Blaxhall, near Woodbridge in Suffolk .
"I was working in the middle of a field," said Phillip. "I was going along and there it lay. It had ribbons and, as luck would have it, the ticket was up the right way and said 'winner' on it.
"Curiosity got the better of me, I suppose. Something like that is a surprise."
Tickets for the Heineken Cup quarter-final are now on general sale. They are available from the Welford Road ticket office or by calling 08701 28 34 30.
