Leicester Tigers welcomed two fans onto the Welford Road pitch during Tigers 30-20 European Challenge Cup win over Cardiff Blues to take part in the latest STIHL Blower Race challenge.
Jules Smalley, who sits in the Robin Hood Stand and Andy Gibbon, who sits in The Breedon Stand, battled it out in the third of five STIHL half-time challenges this season.
At the sound of the starting whistle, the competitors had to manoeuvre their rugby ball around our rugby course the fastest to win their very own STIHL BGA 56 Cordless Blower, charger and battery pack, worth £199 RRP.
It was neck and neck as Jules and Andy both used their blowers to race down the pitch towards the posts, but Andy veered too far right on the way up allowing Jules to take a lead. However, the last sprint saw Andy make up ground as the race concluded in ‘photo finish’ style.
The win was awarded to Jules who won herself her very own STIHL BGA 56 Cordless Blower, charger and battery pack, worth £199 RRP.
Leicester Tigers and STIHL will be hosting two more STIHL Blower Race half-time challenges at home fixtures throughout the season.
Tigers v Wasps | February 15
Tigers v Bath | March 27
What’s more, at the end of the season, every entrant who has entered to take part will then be placed into a special draw to have the chance to win an iMOW® RMI 422 worth £999 RRP.
For the chance to take part in our upcoming STIHL Blower Race, keep an eye out for more news in the build-up to Leicester Tigers next home match against Wasps on February 15.
