In the first fixture of 2023 for Richard Wigglesworth's side, Leicester Tigers travel to the North East to take on Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park in Round 15 of the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership season.

The second away trip in the league for Leicester in as many weeks, after finishing 2022 against Sale Sharks, Tigers face Falcons for the 68th time in the history of both clubs.

Wigglesworth, in his third game in charge since stepping into the Head Coach role, has again be forced into changes after a handful of injuries in the Round 14 defeat to the Sharks.

Leicester's side includes six changes to the starting side from the last-start against Sale with Freddie Burns, Olly Cracknell, Guy Porter and Anthony Watson unavailable for selection, while Gabriel Oghre's short-term contract has come to an end.

Charlie Atkinson, James Cronin, Matt Scott and Harry Simmons are the new faces in the starting line-up, who did not feature in Round 14, while Calum Green and Ben Youngs start on Saturday after appearing from the bench last Friday night.

Newcastle suffered a narrow defeat away to Bath Rugby last weekend, while enjoyed a victory in their last-start at home over Sale Sharks, and currently sit in 10th place on the league ladder - just seven competition points shy of Leicester Tigers.
